Youth Festivals are becoming very important activities on the annual calendar of the football nurseries not only for their educational content but also for the opportunity youngsters are given towards developing their skills within an organised and pleasant environment.

Such festivals have prompted the MFA Technical Centre to devise appropriate rules under which these events are organised. Regulations in this regard have been drawn up under the jurisdiction of Technical Director, Robert Gatt. They are meant to streamline the festivals and help the nursery officials organise the events more efficiently.

In this regard a Festival Rules Manual was launched on Thursday, 27th October, during a meeting held at the MFA Technical Centre Conference Hall for all the nursery administrators. Gatt explained the rules which should govern all MFA festivals and by which all nurseries should abide. Details of the regulations, including ground/pitch size and other information were given to the attendees representing nurseries.

The meeting was also attended by Sergio Soldano who was introduced to the nurseries. Soldano will be working closely with the MFA Technical Centre on coaching young footballers.
