During the festive season the Sliema Football Nursery will again be giving the opportunity to young footballers to enjoy playing their favourite game during their Christmas school holidays. The Nursery will be organizing at its premises in Tigne, a series of friendly games for different age categories to be played on the Grassroots Football model using the MFA Technical Centre and Youth F.A. recommendations.

No scores, results or position tables will be kept so that the very young players can express themselves during the games without pressure and all players whatever their personal ability are given the opportunity to play by their respective coaches.

The program for these friendly games is as follows;
Monday 26th December games for age group Under 11 (born 2001)
Tuesday 27th December age group Under 7 (born 2005)
Wednesday 28th December age group Under 9 (born 2003)
Thursday 29th December – Morning – age group Under 13 (born 1999/2000)
Thursday 29th December – Afternoon – age group Under 10 (born 2002)
Friday 30th December – age group Under 8 (born 2004)

Besides young players from the Sliema Nursery, other players from various Football Nurseries including Msida St. Joseph, Balzan Youths, Kirkop United, Paola Hibs, Qormi, Siggiewi, Hamrun Spartans, San Gwann, Mqabba, Lija / Iklin and Birkirkara will be participating in these friendly games.
