Five players suspended after FA Trophy fourth round

Five players were suspended after being sent off in matches from the fourth round of the U*BET FA Trophy.

Mosta defender Yannick Ossok was banned for two matches while Joseph Zerafa (Birkirkara), Gilbert Camilleri (Lija), Patrick Borg (Marsaxlokk) and Steve Bezzina (Sliema) were suspended for one match. Mosta coach Steve D’Amato was also suspended for two matches.

Since Birkirkara, Marsaxlokk and Sliema Wanderers were eliminated from the competition, Zerafa, Borg and Bezzina are ruled out of this weekend’s BOV Premier League matches while Camilleri will miss the next game from Division 1. Ossok and D’Amato will serve their ban in the FA Trophy.

Meanwhile Clayton Bonello (Mdina) was suspended for one match in Division 3.

In the Youth League, Jurgen Cassar (St. George’s) was banned for one year – until January 24th, 2013.
Victor Bouvett (St. George’s) and Joseph Bonello (Zebbug) were handed a five-match ban while Ian Schembri (Birkirkara) was suspended for three matches.

Gianluca Vella (Sirens) and Gilmour Pace (St. George’s) were suspended for two matches while Michael Camilleri (Birkirkara), Wayne Mizzi (Fgura), Clive Caruana (Kalkara), Elland Vella (Marsa), Keith Vella (San Gwann), Omar Rababah (Senglea), Dejan Vukovic (Sliema) and Warren Zerafa (Tarxien) were banned for one match.
