First Division Club, Lija Athletic F.C. and their coach Marco Gerada agreed mutually to terminate the existing contract between the two parties. Marco Gerada will be therefore not coaching the First Division side.

In the meantime the Club is appointing Mr. Brian Spiteri, who coached G?arg?ur F.C. during the first part of this season, as their new coach until the end of the current Season.

The committee would like to thank Mr. Gerada for the services rendered at the Lija club in the past three years and augurs him success in his sporting career.
