Stefan Sultana appointed Hamrun Spartans coach

Stefan Sultana has been appointed as the new coach of Hamrun Spartans. He replaces Jesmond Zammit who handed his resignation following Sunday’s 0-2 defeat to Mqabba.

After quitting the game as a player, he took a coaching role with the Hamrun Spartans Youth Nursery, serving as Head Coach and was currently the coach of the Under-15 side.

A product of Hamrun Spartans, Stefan Sultana played for Hamrun Spartans between 1983 and 2009, except for a three-year spell with Hibernians. With the Spartans, he won three Premier League titles and six FA Trophies. He also ended as top scorer in season 1991/92.

The Spartans are currently second from bottom on 15 points, together with Tarxien Rainbows, four points behind wooden-spoonsits Marsaxlokk.
