A late goal gave Gzira United a narrow win over neighbours Msida St. Joseph to move eight points clear on top the BOV Second Division table as Attard defeated second-placed Gudja United 1-0.

Mellieha join Gudja on 31 points thanks to a 4-1 win over wooden-spoonists Senglea Athletic.

Zebbug Rangers defeated Siggiewi 3-0, Gharghur beat Kirkop United 5-2 while San Gwann defeated Luqa St. Andrew’s 5-1.

Gzira lead the way with 39 points, followed by Gudja and Mellieha on 31, Gharghur and San Gwann 25, Zebbug 24, Kirkop and Siggiewi 19, St. Venera 17, Msida 16, Attard 15, Zurrieq 14, Luqa 12 and Senglea 6.
