Ghaxaq returned to winning ways in the BOV Third Division as they defeated Marsa 2-0.

They stay in third place on level points with Mgarr United and Mdina Knights who beat Santa Lucia 1-0 and Mtarfa 3-0 respectively.

In another two matches, Xghajra Tornadoes beat Swieqi United 2-1 while Marsaskala defeated Qrendi 2-1.

On Tuesday, Fgura United take on Kalkara while Sirens face leaders Pembroke Athleta.

Pembroke lead the way with 42 points followed by Fgura on 35, Mgarr, Ghaxaq and Mdina on 34, Santa Lucia 30, Xghajra 26, Swieqi and Marsaskala 20, Sirens 18, Qrendi 16, Marsa 9, Mtarfa 8 and Kalkara 4.
