Six Premier League players suspended

Six Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the mid-week programme from the BOV Premier League.

Eric Akoto, Manolito Micallef and Ivan Woods (Floriana), Matthew Robert Gauci (Hamrun), Kurt Magro (Mosta) and Ryan Grech (Sliema) were all suspended for one match. Floriana team manager Anthony Grech Sant was banned for two matches and Floriana official Peter Agius was suspended for four matches.

Akoto, Woods and Micallef are ruled out of the game against Hibernians. Gauci will miss the match Marsaxlokk vs Hamrun while Ryan Grech will be unavailable for the game against Balzan. Magro is ruled out of Mqabba vs Mosta.

Jovil Abela and Darren Grech (Senglea) were banned for one match in Division 2.

In the Youth League, Mark Micallef (St. Patrick) and Duncan Buhagiar (St. Venera) were suspended for one match while Glenn Azzopardi (Hamrun) and Ludwig Bonnici (Fgura) were banned for one match and two matches respectively in the Youth Knock-Out.match
