Gharghur and Kirkop United scored six goals each in two matches from the BOV Second Division at the Charles Abela Stadium on Saturday.

Gharghur defeated Attard 6-1 while Kirkop United beat Senglea Athletic 6-2. But the biggest surprise was definitely the 1-6 defeat with which leaders Gzira United lost to Gudja United at the Centenary Stadium. This was the first defeat for the Maroons in eighteen matches.

In another match at the same venue, Zebbug Rangers defeated Zurrieq 3-0.

San Gwann beat Siggiewi 2-1 while St. Venera Lightnings defeated Msida St. Joseph 3-1 at the Luxol Stadium.

Gzira lead the way with 45 points, followed by Mellieha on 40, Gudja 35, Gharghur 34, Zebbug 33, San Gwann 28, St. Venera 24, Kirkop and Siggiewi 23, Msida 20, Luqa, Zurrieq and Attard 15 and Senglea 11.
