Pietà Hotspurs continued to disappoint in the BOV First Division as they suffered the fifth defeat in six matches, losing 0-2 to Vittoriosa Stars.

Marcelo Pereira scored the two goals for Oliver Spiteri’s side who are now seventh on 21 points.

In the second match, Birzebbuga St. Peter’s defeated St. Patrick 3-1.

Boycho Todorov Marev, Paul Camilleri and Keith Muscat scored for Birzebbuga with Matthew Xerri scoring a consolation goal for the Zabbar side.

Rabat lead the way with 35 points, followed by Melita on 33, Pietà 32, Zejtun 30, St. Andrews 24, Birzebbuga 23, Vittoriosa 21, Naxxar 20, Lija 19, Dingli and St. Patrick 15, St. George’s 13.
