The organisers of the prestigious International Tournament ‘Dona Un Sorriso Cup’ have invited the Under-13 team of Sliema Wanderers Nursery to participate in the second edition of this International event which will be held on Saturday and Sunday 2nd and 3rd June.

This Tournament is held in Bellinzona, Switzerland a picturesque town bordering north Italy and is organised by the ‘Dona Un Sorriso’ Association which helps seriously ill children in various countries.

International teams such as Villarreal (Spain), Red Star Belgrade (Serbia), Basle (Switzerland), Inter (Italy), Torino (Italy) and many other teams will be participating to make the event a very interesting and exciting experience.

Mark Pace, Chairman of the Sliema Nursery remarked that the Nursery was not only proud to be the first Maltese Nursery to be invited to this International Tournament but also very satisfied that it will be helping raise funds for such a worthy cause as that of assisting very sick children while the Sliema Nursery Head Coach, Claude Chetcuti remarked that all the players in the group are looking forward to face such a challenge and be part of such an exciting event, he is sure that this will be an important experience in their football and personal development.
