Floriana FC announced that the club and Christian Caruana reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract. He is now expected to join Balzan FC.

A product of Floriana, Caruana has been a regular choice for the Greens after making his debut with the club in 2004/05.

More Floriana players are expected to move elsewhere before Friday’s 19:00 deadline for transfers. These players include Owen Bugeja, Ryan Darmanin and Christian Cassar.

Meanwhile Nigerian-born striker Akanni-Sunday Wasiu is finally a Floriana player and will be making his return with the club after playing for the Greens in the first part of season 2009/10. Over the past two years, he played in China for Changsha Ginde and Shenyang Dongjin.
