U*BET FA Trophy kicks-off

The U*BET FA Trophy kicked-off on Wednesday with the first match from the first round as Mtarfa defeated Xghajra Tornados 5-0 in a clash between two Third Division sides.

Omar Smeir notched a hat-trick and Francesco Azzopardi scored the other two goals.

Another four matches are in programme on Thursday as Sannat Lions take on Kalkara and Mdina Knights face Swieqi United at the Centenary Stadium while St. Lawrence Spurs host Senglea Athletic and Santa Lucia face SK Victoria Wanderers at the Gozo Stadium.
