Hibernians in search of fifth consecutive win

Hibernians will be aiming to maintain their perfect start with a win on Sunday as they take on Balzan in one of the two BOV Premier League matches in programme at the National Stadium.

Hibs defeated Mosta, Qormi, Melita and Rabat in their first four outings. Balzan, on the other hand, earned a point in a 2-2 draw with Hamrun in the first game, losing to Birkirkara, Floriana and Tarxien in the other three games.

To make matters worse for Ivan Zammit’s side, Pedrinho is ruled out as he serves a suspension while Jonathan Francica is still in doubt. Hibernians, on the other hand, should be in full strength, apart from Clayton Failla and Jason Vandelannoite.

Meanwhile in the second game, Mosta take on Qormi.

Two consecutive wins over Sliema Wanderers and Hamrun Spartans lifted the spirits of Mosta who now seek their third successive win after two disappointing results and performances in their first two outings. Qormi, on the other hand, returned to winning ways, defeating Sliema 2-1.

For Mosta, Ryan Grech will be back after serving a one-match ban but Daniel Bogdanovic is ruled out injured while Alex Cini has not fully recovered. Triston Caruana is yet unavailable for Qormi.
