Three-match ban for three Premier League players

Three Premier League players were suspended for three matches by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner after being sent off during the weekend.

Malcolm Licari of Balzan, Aaron Brown of Floriana and Patrick Borg of Rabat Ajax were banned for three matches while Clyde Borg (Floriana), Mario Muscat and Marcelo Dias (Hibs), Manuel Ramon Sierra Camacho (Melita) and Beppe Muscat (Sliema) were all banned for one match.

Licari is ruled out of the games against Qormi, Melita and Sliema; Patrick Borg will miss the games against Sliema, Hamrun and Mosta while Aaron Brown is ruled out of the matches against Mosta, Qormi and Valletta. Clyde Borg, also of Floriana, will miss the game against Mosta.

Muscat and Dias will be unavailable for this weekend’s big clash between Hibernians and Valletta. Sierra Camacho is ruled out of the game against Hamrun while Beppe Muscat will miss the game against Rabat.

In Division 1, Ryan Mintoff (Birzebbuga), Alex Portelli (Dingli), Emerson Vella (Gudja), David Vella and Angus Buhagiar (Naxxar) and Jean Matthias Vella (Vittoriosa) were all suspended for one match.

Charles Cachia of Gharghur was banned for two matches in Second Division while Antoine Barbara and Clint Farrugia (Kirkop), Glenn Martin Agius (San Gwann) were suspended for one match.

Colin Ciantar (Attard), Jeremy Pace (Mdina), Kyle Calleja (Swieqi) were banned for one match in Division 3.
