Stephen Azzopardi leaves Qormi to join Floriana

Stephen Azzopardi is the new coach of Floriana FC after leaving Qormi FC. This decision was taken following a meeting between Azzopardi and officials of Qormi FC and Floriana FC following which it was agreed that for the common good, he would no longer be the coach of Qormi and join Floriana.
Azzopardi will replace Englishman Mark Wright who took over as Floriana coach this summer but personal reasons kept him away from the island for a number of weeks. Assistant coach Alan Lewer led the team in his absence.
In a statement, Qormi FC thanked Azzopardi for the work done over the past years and wished him success in his career.
