Six Premier League players suspended

Rennie Forace of Balzan was handed a two-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner while another five players were suspended for one game following the weekend’s matches.

Elton Alexandre da Silva (Balzan), Zach Muscat (Birkirkara), Luke Dimech (Mosta), Paltemio Barbetti (Sliema) amd Evaldo Silva dos Santos (Tarxien) were the players to receive a one-match ban.

Forace and Elton are ruled out of the game against Valletta with the former also skipping the game against Rabat. Luke Dimech is ruled out of Melita vs Mosta while Evaldo will miss the game against Rabat. Barbetti will miss the game against Hamrun.

In Division 1, Bledjon Guga (Dingli) was banned for two matches while Jonathan Sapiano (Dingli) and Andre Grabowski (Marsaxlokk) were banned for one match.

Neil Gatt Coleiro (Pembroke) was banned for two matches while William Camilleri (Mgarr), Alan Borg (San Gwann), Mauricio Osmar Rodrigues Britto (Zebbug) were suspended for one match. Mellieha coach Alex Delia was also suspended.

Kurt Formosa (Mdina) was banned for two matches in Division 3 while Jacob Camilleri (Kalkara), Ryan Zammit (Mtarfa), Simon Aquilina (Senglea) and Daniel Axisa (Xghajra) were suspended for one match. Kalkara coach Marco Gerada was suspended for two matches.
