After securing the services of Obinna Obiefule from Hibernians, newly-promoted Zebbug Rangers signed Argentine midfielder Matias Muchardi.

Muchardi had joined Sliema in summer 2012 and soon established himself in the team. He scored six goals last season and another seven this year.

The Rangers, who finished as runners-up in Division 1 last season, are expected to continue strengthening the squad for the coming season.
