Balzan secured the services of Italian striker Gianmarco Piccioni from Mosta.

Piccioni played for Sambenedettese, Vicenza, Aquila and Lanciano in Italy and Shumen 2010 in Bulgaria before moving to Mosta in October 2013. With the Blues, he had an excellent spell, scoring twelve goals in 21 league matches.

Last week, Balzan signed Colombian duo Oscar Guerrero and Elkin Serrano. Earlier they had signed coach Oliver Spiteri, goalkeepers Steve Sultana and Christian Cassar, Samir Arab, Clive Brincat and Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza.
