New foreigners for Qormi, Zebbug and Balzan

Foreign players continue to steal the show in the transfer market in the BOV Premier League.

Qormi signed Ghanaian defensive midfielder Albert Bruce. Bruce had joined Legia Warsaw in January 2012 on a short-term contract but left in December 2012 after he was not awarded a new contract by the club. During that period, Bruce failed to make a first team appearance but played 22 matches for Legia’s second team scoring once.

Spanish defender Javi Diaz Serrano signed for Zebbug Rangers. The twenty-five year old played for RSD Alcala in Spain.

Meanwhile Balzan signed Nigerian midfielder Osa Guobadia. After playing with SV Pasching in the Austrian Bundesliga, Guobadia had short spells in other Austrian clubs, namely FC Wels, SC Schwanenstadt and ASV St. Marienkirchen. In summer 2008, he moved to Macedonia signing with Macedonian First League side FK Makedonija. After two seasons he returned to Nigeria playing one year with Kaduna United F.C. in the Nigeria Premier League, before returning to Macedonia this time to play with another top flight side, FK Vardar. He last played for Beitar Jerusalem in Israel.
