Brazilian winger for Valletta

Valletta signed Brazilian left winger Paulo Candido Serafim de Cruz, known as Lico. He signed a one-year contract with the club retaining an option for the following season.

After playing with Esporte Clube Democrata, América Mineiro and Valeriodoce Esporte Clube in Brazil, he moved to Portugal in 2006, where he played for Atlético Vadevez before moving to CD Santa Clara and Moreirense FC. In summer 2011, he joined Macedonian side FK Vardar Skopje.

Last year, he moved back to Brazil where he played for Nacional Esporte Clube of Minas Gerais.

Valletta coach Gilbert Agius made use of five foreign players so far, namely Hugo Faria, Abdelakarim Nafti, Lateef Elford-Alliyu, Raphael Alain Kooh Sohna and Adrian Zahra.

Denni Rocha dos Santos, who left Malta in July to return to Brazil, reportedly for family matters, has now joined a club in Bahrain.
