Four Premier League players suspended

Four Premier League players were handed a one-match by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner after the weekend’s matches.

Samir Arab (Balzan), Cain Attard (Pietà), Mauricio Matias Latini Mazzetti (Qormi) and Mark Scerri (Sliema) will therefore miss this week’s clashes.

Arab is ruled out of the clash with Naxxar, Attard the game against Mosta, Mazzetti the game against Hibernians and Scerri the clash with Floriana.

In Division 1, Jonathan Francica (Lija), Michael Valenzia (Melita), Claudio Calleja (Mqabba), Roderick Bajada (Pembroke), Lawrence Uchechi Chiedozie and Joseph Caruana (Rabat) and Emerson Amaira (St. George’s) were banned for one match while Lija coach Joe Brincat was suspended for two matches.

Roderick Sciberras (Dingli) was suspended for four matches in Division 2 while Joshua Sciarrino and Tyrone Pace (Dingli), Matthew Fleri Soler and Clyde Bonavia (Gharghur), Mario Bajada (Ghaxaq), Daniel Cremona (Sirens), Roderick Camilleri (Xghajra), Neville Zerafa (Zabbar) and Matthew Pisani (Zejtun) were banned for one match. Dingli kit-manager Rigovert Casha was suspended for two matches.

In Division 3, Greg Marney and Diansand Brincat (Luqa) and Shawn D’Amato (Santa Lucia) were handed a one-match ban.
