Ten Premier League players suspended

Ten Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

The players are Nemanja Milovanovic (Mosta), Albert Bruce, Daren Falzon and Julian Azzopardi (Naxxar), Duncan Pisani (Qormi), Stefano Bianciardi (Sliema), Alessandro Lopes Pereira (Tarxien), Yessous Camilleri, Kurt Zammit and Jacob Dominico Borg (Zebbug).

Bruce, Falzon and Azzopardi are ruled out of Naxxar’s next game against Hibernians while Zebbug will be without Camilleri, Zammit and Borg for the game against Sliema. Also ruled out of the clash between Zebbug and Sliema is Bianciardi. Alessandro Lopes skips the game against Birkirkara while Milovanovic and Pisani are ruled out of the clash between Mosta and Qormi.

Qormi goalkeepers’ coach Roderick Agius was banned for two matches.

In Division 1, Edson Luiz Bonati (Birzebbuga), Andrew Buhagiar, Clayton Giordmaina and Peter Paul Sammut (Gudja), Kurt Rizzo (Msida), Neil Caruana, Dylan Falzon and Adam Smeir (Rabat), Carlos Compagnoli (Vittoriosa) were all banned for one match.

Fgura kit-manager Brian Calvagna was suspended for two matches while Gudja team-manager Alan Mifsud was banned for one match.

Ekele Udojoh (Zejtun) was banned for two matches in Division 2 while Pierre Grima (Gharghur), Ronald Spina (Ghaxaq), Glen Matthew Saliba (Xghajra), Carl Magro (Zabbar) and Karl Vassallo (Zejtun) were handed a one-match ban.

In Division 3, Jurgen Gauci (Attard), Steve Buhagiar (Marsaskala), Christian Tabone (Mgarr) and Luke Portelli (Mtarfa) were banned for one match.
