Zejtun Corinthians brought to an end leaders San Gwann’s positive run in the BOV Second Division as they maintained their challenge for promotion with a narrow 1-0 win.

Ekele Udojoh scored the all-important goal on 71 minutes which gives the Corinthians the sixth win in seven matches, putting them three points behind Hamrun and five behind San Gwann.

San Gwann lead the way with 36 points, followed by Hamrun on 34, Zejtun 31, Senglea and Zabbar 28, Gharghur 23, Siggiewi 21, Marsa, Swieqi and Sirens 19, Mellieha 18, Dingli 12, Ghaxaq and Xghajra 5.
