Former MFA president and national coach pass away

Former MFA President Judge Maurice Caruana Curran and former national team coach Terrenzio Polverini passed away over the past days.

Maurice Caruana Curran served as president of the Malta Football Association between 1944 and 1946. He had also served as president of the Malta Amateur Athletic Association.

Terenzio Polverini served as national coach between 28th August 1974 and 10th March 1976. During that period, Malta won one game – a 2-0 win over Greece in a European Championship qualifier, drew two and lost six. He had later coached a number of local clubs.
