MFA condemns violence in domestic games

In the light of a number of incidents which occurred during a number of domestic matches, the Malta Football Association issued a statement to condemn all kinds of abuse and violence occurring in domestic competitions organized by the MFA and its member associations.

“All kinds of aggression on match officials, administrators and players go against the values ​​of the game of football and therefore any kind of physical or verbal abuse against those, who in one way or another, participate in domestic sporting events will not be tolerated.”

“The Malta FA, as it always did in the past, will be taking the necessary disciplinary steps against the perpetrators to justice and to find the matches are played in a sporting spirit.”

“The MFA and all its members consider respect between players, administrators, fans and match officials as a priority and therefore everyone should bear responsibility for any irresponsible behavior.”
