Eleven Premier League players suspended

Ten Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches and another was banned for two matches on Tuesday.

Pedro dos Santos Calcado (Sliema) was handed a two-match ban on Tuesday while on Wednesday, Manuel Bonaque Acevedo (Tarxien) was suspended for two matches while Lydon Micallef and Elkin Serrano Valero (Balzan), Andrei Agius (Hibs), Karl Pulo (Mosta), Gilmar da Silva Ribeiro (Naxxar), Edafe Christopher Uzeh and Duncan Pisani (Qormi), Michael Mifsud and Trevor Cilia (Sliema) were banned for one match.

Pedrinho will miss the games against Zebbug and Qormi and Manu Bonaque the games against Balzan and Birkirkara. Lydon Micallef and Elkin Serrano are ruled out of the clash against Tarxien, Andrei Agius and Gilmar the game Hibernians vs Naxxar, Uzeh and Pisani the game against Floriana, Pulo the game against Valletta while Mifsud and Cilia the clash with Zebbug.

In Division 1, Predrag Babic and McAllister Clinch (Lija) and Malcolm Buttigieg (Vittoriosa) were banned for one match.

In Division 2, Joshua Sciarrino (Dingli) was banned for two matches while Edward Bugeja and Karl Mizzi (Siggiewi), Jonathan Briscoe White and Mark Farrugia (Swieqi), Malcolm Grech (Xghajra), Joey Reno Vella (Zabbar), Gary Busuttil and Alan Abela (Zejtun) were all suspended for one match.

Matthew Borg (Attard) was banned for three matches in Division 3, Dylan Zarb (Qrendi) for two matches, Josef Felice and Colin Ciantar (Attard), Paul Psaila (Luqa) and David Zammit (Mtarfa) were all banned for one match.
