Eight Premier League players suspended

Eight Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Rui Fernando da Gracia Gomes of Hibernians was banned for three matches while Joseph Zerafa and Mauricio Matias Latini Mazzetti (Birkirkara), Matteo Piciollo (Floriana), Andrew Cohen (Hibs), Hamza Barry and Luke Dimech (Valletta) and David Alejandro Reano (Zebbug) were banned for one match.

Pietà coach Noel Coleiro was suspended for two matches.

Rui da Gracia will miss the Paolites’ next three matches against Floriana, Balzan and Birkirkara. Cohen and Piciollo will skip Floriana vs Hibernians; Joseph Zerafa, Mauricio Mazzetti and David Reano are ruled out of Zebbug vs Birkirkara. Barry and Dimech will miss the game against Sliema.

Pembroke goalkeeper Andrea Cassar was banned for two matches while Josef Mifsud (Gzira), Patrick Borg (Lija), Ryan Schembri (Mqabba), Uchenna Anyanwu (Msida), Luke Cauchi (Rabat) and Michael Johnson (St. Andrews) were suspended for one game.

Birzebbuga coach Pino Murgia and Gudja official Gordon Grech are banned for two matches.

In Division 2, Jonathan Briscoe White (Swieqi) was banned for four matches, Adrian Neda (Sirens) and Anthony Gafa (Marsa) were suspended for one match.

In Division 3, Omar Gauci (Attard) was suspended for four matches, Josef Felice (Attard) and Adrian Dominicus (Ta’ Xbiex) were banned for three matches while Liam Mangion and Colin Ciantar (Attard), John Louis Sammut and Keith Dimech (Marsaskala), Cachel Vella (Mdina) and Jude Bugeja (Ta’ Xbiex).
