Hibernians won the double in the youth competitions as they defeated Hamrun Spartans 1-0 after extra-time in the Youth Knock-Out final which was played on Wednesday.

With the score still 0-0 at the end of the ninety minutes, the game went into extra-time and Jurgen Degabriele managed to break the deadlock when he converted a penalty to score the all-important goal.

The Paolites therefore crowned a successful season after winning the Youth League Section A after defeating Valletta 4-2 in a Championship Decider as both teams had ended their commitments on level points.
