Hibernians FC’s midfielder Dorianne Theuma ended the BOV Women’s Football Season in the best possible way when she was selected as the BOV Female Player of the Month for both April and May.

Hibernians had a dream season winning all three major competitions, the BOV Super Cup, the BOV Women’s League and the Knock-Out competition, ending the BOV Women’s League with a nine-point lead over Birkirkara.

In May, Hibernians had two direct confrontations with arch rivals Birkirkara. In the first match, Theuma was instrumental in helping her team win the championship 2-1. She also had a key role in the semi-final knock-out game. After ending the game with a 2-2 draw, Hibernians FC managed to win 3-2 with penalty shoot-outs.

Besides her accomplishments with Hibernians, thirty-year old Dorianne, is also the Captain of the Women’s National Team and shares her talent with the younger generation as the coach of the Under-15 National Team Dorianne is known to give her 100% both on and off the pitch.

Marica Ellul, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s Paola Branch presented the BOV Female Player of the Month Trophies for April and May to Theuma.
