Tarxien Rainbows midfielder Firas Aboulezz won the final individual award of the BOV Football Season.

Tarxien desperately needed the victory and three points against Pieta Hotspurs to secure their spot in the BOV Premier League next season.

The attacking midfielder Firas Aboulezz paved the way to this victory with a brilliant individual effort just after ten minutes. Aboulezz dribbled past three Pietà defenders before hitting the back of the net to give Tarxien the lead. His second goal in the opening minutes of the second half, en route to a 3-1 victory ensured that the Rainbows celebrated their stay in the top flight of Maltese football much to the delight of their fans.

Marica Ellul, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s Paola Branch presented the trophy for the BOV Player of the Month for May 2015 to Aboulezz who chose the SPCA to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
