Giovanni Tedesco appointed Birkirkara FC coach

Giovanni Tedesco has been appointed as Head-Coach of Birkirkara FC after the two parties reached an agreement. He is due to travel to Malta on Monday to sign the contract.

Tedesco replaces Paul Zammit whose contract was terminated by mutual agreement.

Giovanni Tedesco started his playing career with Reggina and then played for Fiorentina, Foggia, Salernitana, Perugia, Genoa and Palermo. He started coaching the Allievi side of Palermo and then led Foligno in the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione before moving to Malta to join Floriana in April 2014. Tedesco steered the Greens to safety in the final three league matches and then led the club to a fifth place finish at the end of last season.
