BOV First, Second and Third Division 2015/16 draws

The draws for the BOV First Division, BOV Second Division and BOV Third Division leagues were held on Saturday at the Grand Hotel Excelsior.

In the BOV First Division, in match-day 1, Pietà Hotspurs will be facing Vittoriosa Stars while Zebbug Rangers face Division 2 champions San Gwann. Gzira United will be facing Lija Athletic, Fgura United take on Hamrun Spartans, Rabat Ajax meet St. George’s, Senglea Athletic face Mqabba while Gudja United take on Melita.

The BOV First Division League will be kick-off on September 11 and comes to an end on April 24. First Division matches will be played at the Centenary Stadium, Luxol Stadium and Victor Tedesco Stadium. One match will be played on Fridays, two on Saturdays and four on Sundays or four on a Saturday and two on a Sunday.

Two teams will be promoted to the Premier League, the team placing third will be playing a promotion decider against the team placing tenth in the Premier League while three teams will be relegated to Division 2.

The BOV Second Division League will kick-off on September 18 and come to an end on April 25. Second Division matches will be played at the Centenary Stadium, Charles Abela Stadium, Luxol Stadium and Sirens Stadium. One match will be played on Fridays and the other six on Saturdays or Sundays.

Three teams will be promoted to Division 1 and three relegated to Division 3.

On match-day 1, Sirens face Siggiewi, Mgarr United take on Birzebbuga St. Peter’s, Kirkop United meet Qrendi, Zurrieq face Zabbar St. Patrick, Msida St. Joseph take on Mellieha, Zejtun Corinthians face Marsa and Gharghur meet Swieqi United.

The BOV Third Division League will kick-off on September 19 and come to an end on April 24. Third Division matches will be played at the Centenary Stadium, Charles Abela Stadium, Luxol Stadium and Sirens Stadium. The six matches will be played on Saturdays or Sundays.

Three teams will be promoted to Division 2 and the bottom two need to re-apply to take part the following season.

On match-day 1, Kalkara face Xghajra Tornados, Attard meet Dingli Swallows, Santa Lucia take on St. Venera Lightnings, Marsaskala meet Mtarfa, Ta’ Xbiex face Luqa St. Andrew’s, Mdina Knights play Marsaxlokk while Ghaxaq play their first league game against Kalkara.
