Pembroke Athleta say coach did not make allegations over referee

In a statement, signed by president Alex Calleja, Pembroke Athleta denied coach Winston Muscat made any allegations with regards to referee Malcolm Spiteri and the other match officials.

Referring to a statement by the MFRA after the BOV Premier League match between Pembroke Athleta and Mosta, the club said that the coach was only expressing his opinion with regards to decisions taken during this particular game.

Muscat denies making any allegations against the referee and was only showing his disapproval over some decisions taken by the referee.

The club said that they had the right to express their opinion over the decisions taken, which in their opinion, were clearly mistaken decisions, and expects the MFRA to take all necessary measures to avoid a repeat of such decisions for the good of the game.
