Lija Athletic moved second in the BOV First Division as they registered a fourth consecutive win, beating Melita 4-0 at the Centenary Stadium on Saturday.

Adrian Caruana put Lija ahead on the 27th and two minutes later, Jorge Garcia Vidal doubled the score. Erjon Beu increased the lead further with goals on the 92nd and 93rd.

In another match, Pietà Hotspurs and St. George’s shared the spoils in a goalless draw.

Gzira lead the way with 16 points, followed by Lija on 12, Hamrun 11, Senglea and Zebbug 10, Melita 9, Pietà 8, Vittoriosa, Rabat and Fgura 7, St. George’s and San Gwann 5, Gudja 3 and Mqabba 2.
