Rabat Ajax and Lija Athletic earned a point each as they shared the spoils in a goalless draw in a match from the BOV First Division at the Centenary Stadium on Friday.

Lija therefore missed the chance to close in on third-placed duo Senglea Athletic and Pietà Hotspurs. The Magpies, on the other hand, moved further away from the danger zone.

Gzira lead the way with 36 points, followed by Hamrun on 33, Senglea and Pietà on 25, Lija 22, Rabat 20, Vittoriosa and Melita 19, Zebbug and Fgura 18, Mqabba 15, St. George’s and San Gwann 10 and Gudja 8.
