Sliema Wanderers Football Nursery acquire and install AED

The Sliema Wanderers Football Nursery Management Committee are pleased to announce that an automated external defibrillator (AED) is now in place at the Tigne Sports Complex. The Primedic HeartSave AS a state of the art model was acquired and a presentation on its correct use was done to the Nursery Technical staff and Committee members by Alex Fenech Business Development Manager at Europharma.

The fund raising activities done at the end of last season and the support of parents together with other Nursery supporters went a long way to provide a good part of the required funds and the Committee showed its appreciation to all those that contributed towards this aim.

A special thank you went to the company Pharma.MT represented by Mr. Patrick Nicholl who made up the shortfall from the amount collected so that a superior model could be purchased.

Sliema Wanderers Technical Director Mr. Stephen Azzopardi remarked that hopefully the necessity to use this equipment will never arise but but he was sure that this investment gives some peace of mind to the many sports persons that use the Sliema Wandeeres Sports Complex.
