The Malta Under-19 national team led by coach Wayne Attard registered another win on penalties after defeating Welsh Colleges FA in the Torneo Roma Caput Mundi on Thursday. In the first two matches, both ending with the penalty shoot-out after goalless draws, Malta had lost to Albania but won against C.R. Lazio.

Malta had managed to take the lead through Omar Elouni but Wales equalised and therefore the penalty shoot-out had to determine the issue. The boys in red won 4-2.
