Ten Premier League players were suspended by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the mid-week matches.

Balzan’s Samir Arab and Tarxien’s Alex da Paixao Alves were both banned for three matches while Edison Bilbao Zarate and Cain Attard (Birkirkara), Tyrone Farrugia (Mosta), Miguel Attard (Pembroke), Gary Muir, Clifford Gatt Baldacchino, Armando Vieira dos Santos and Denni Rocha dos Santos (Sliema) were handed a one-match ban.

Sliema will therefore lack Muir, Gatt Baldacchino, Denni and Mandinho for the clash against Valletta. Miguel Attard will miss the game against St. Andrews, Zarate and Attard the game against Tarxien and Tyrone Farrugia the clash with Qormi.

Samir Arab will miss the next three games against Floriana, Naxxar and Sliema while Alex da Paixao Alves is ruled out of the next three games against Birkirkara, Qormi and St. Andrews.
