Seven Premier League players suspended

Seven Premier League players were handed a one-match ban by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner following the weekend’s matches.

Steve Pisani, Matteo Picciolo and Emerson Marcelina (Floriana) Jackson di Lima Siqueira (Hibs), Luke Pecorella (Naxxar), Marko Potezica (Sliema) and Roderick Briffa (Valletta) are therefore banned for this weekend’s matches.

Floriana could not count on Pisani, Picciolo and Marcelina for the game against Qormi, Jackson Lima will skip the clash with Pembroke, Potezica the game against Balzan, Briffa the match against Mosta and Pecorella the clash with Birkirkara.

In Division 1, Luke Vella Critien (Fgura), Matthew Schembri (Gudja), Philip Chircop (Hamrun), Jamie Azzopardi (Rabat), Josef Cutajar (San Gwann), Steve Meilak (Vittoriosa), Lee Galea and Thomas Paris (Zebbug) were all banned for one match.

Shawn Peplow and Josef Felice (Kirkop), Juan Jorge Vella (Msida), Mark Camilleri (Siggiewi), Kristian Sultana and Jonathan Briscoe White (Swieqi) and Alexander Barbara (Zurrieq) were banned for one match in Division 2 and Dunstan Zarb (Zejtun) for three matches.

In Division 3, Mark Vassallo and Jonathan Pace (Dingli), Christian Grech (Marsaskala), Gilbert Camilleri (Mdina), Gilbert Camilleri (Santa Lucia) and Miguel Agius (Ta’ Xbiex) were all banned for one match while officials Lawrence Camilleri of Marsaxlokk and Ian Tonna of Mdina for two.
