UEFA Under-17 appointment for new FIFA officials Trustin Farrugia Cann, Luke Portelli

FIFA Referee Trustin Farrugia Cann, assisted by FIFA Assistant Referee Luke Portelli, has been appointed by UEFA to take charge of his first international matches during the European Under-17 Championship 2016 Elite Round Group 1 to be played in the Czech Republic between 28th March and 2nd April 2016. Other appointed match officials are from Lithuania, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic.

The participating teams with hosts Czech Republic are Denmark, Switzerland and Scotland.

The first appointment for Trustin Farrugia Cann (as Fourth Official) and Luke Portelli is the Czech Republic – Switzerland match being played at Městský Stadium in Uherské Hradište, on Monday 28th March.

Their first match together as referee and assistant referee will be Czech Republic – Scotland being played at Letná Stadium in Zlín on Wednesday 30th March.

On the final matchday, Saturday 2nd April, Trustin Farrugia Cann and Luke Portelli will be together again as referee and assistant referee during the Scotland – Switzerland match at the Širuch Stadium in Staré Mêsto.

UEFA Referee Observers Patrick Kelly (Ireland) and Leif Lindberg (Sweden) have been appointed to assess the performances of match officials at this mini-tournament.

Yauheni Tratsiuk (Belarus) is the appointed UEFA Delegate.
