Mqabba defeated Gudja United 7-3 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium in one of two BOV First Division matches in programme on Sunday.

Didier Sohna put Gudja ahead on the 6th minute but a brace by Paul Chimezie on the 13th and the 15th and another brace by Arilson Mello da Silva on the 17th and 26th put Mqabba 4-1 ahead. On the 31st, Paul Chimezie increased the lead further for Mqabba. Didier Sohna scored a second goal for Gudja two minutes in the second half but David Azzopardi on the 62nd and Claudio Calleja on the 71st put Mqabba 7-2 ahead although Waseem Jadean scored a third goal for Gudja on the 78th.

In another match, Senglea Athletic and Lija Athletic shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

Ryan Dalli put Senglea ahead on the 17th minute and Juan Manuel Artiaga Roa doubled the score seven minutes later. However Michael Borg pulled one back two minutes from the end of the first half and Patrick Borg levelled matters on the 76th.
