Double for Pietà Hotspurs Under-15

Pietà Hotspurs won the Under-15 Knock-Out Competition, organised by the Youth Football Association after beating Birkirkara 1-0, in front of a sizeable crowd at the Luxol Stadium. Clyde Bouvet scored the all-important goal of the match in the second half.

After the game, Youth FA President Fr. Hilary Tagliaferro, assisted by Vice President Robert Attard and General Secretary Joe Micallef, presented the trophies and mementos to both sets of players.

This was Pietà’s third success in the Under-15 Knock-Out Competition and thus completed the double for this season, after achieving the same feat in the 2012/13 season.

In the APS Bank League Under-15 Section A, the Hotspurs emerged as winners ahead of St. Andrews. Paola Hibs and San Gwann were relegated to Section B.

Valletta won Section B with Melita finishing second. Birzebbuga Windmill and Luqa St. Andrew’s ended in the bottom two places.

Floriana emerged as winners in Section C1 ahead of Pembroke Athleta with Sirens and Fgura United being relegated. On the other hand, Msida St. Joseph won Section C2 after defeating Mellieha in a championship decider. Xghajra Tornados and Cottonera United were relegated.

Zebbug Rangers won Section D ahead of runners-up Zejtun Corinthians.
