Jude Amin Utulu appointed for Euro Winners Cup final tournament

FIFA Beach Soccer Referee Jude Amin Utulu – one of the leading international beach soccer referees in Europe – has been appointed to officiate at the fourth edition of this European clubs’ competition.

The Sicilian resort of Catania (Italy), for the third time will host the Finals being held from the 23rd to the 29th May.

The Euro Winners Cup has deservedly earned a very special place in the beach soccer calendar, as it has quickly become one very important competition since its first edition in the city of San Benedetto del Tronto, in the province of Ascoli Piceno (Italy).

Again this year, the best clubs of each of the European National Football Associations will come down to the Sicilian venue to vie for the title.

The list of participating teams in the competition includes some old acquaintances, with the back-to-back Russian champions BSC Kristall ahead, with hosts Catania in last year’s runner-up position, as well as clubs making their debut in this top-class all-European clubs competition.

There will be 48 teams competing: 32 Men’s and this year also 16 Women’s as Beach Soccer Worldwide introduced a Women’s Division – an innovation which already showcases the growth of the competition itself.

This Euro Winners Cup 2016 will set a new milestone in beach soccer history: biggest than ever, with more teams involved, more matches, more days of competition, more pitches
