Gzira United continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Malta Under-19 midfieler Juan Corbalan, midfielder Dyson Falzon and Italian midfielder Gianmarco Conti.
Corbalan started his career with Floriana but moved to Balzan making his debut in season 2012/13. In the January 2015 transfer window, he moved to Virtus Lanciano in Italy for a six-month spell.
Dyson Falzon started his career with Sirens, joining Mosta at an early age. With the Blues, he made his Premier League debut in season 2002/03. He was transferred to Valletta in summer 2006 but since then he was loaned to Hamrun Spartans in 2010/11, Mosta in the latter part of season 2011/12, season 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16. Falzon signs a three-year deal with the club.
Central midfielder Gianmarco Conti started his career with Venezia but then joined AC Milan in a co-ownership deal in 2008. He was loaned to Fano and then Lecco before being transferred to Bassano. He then moved to Virtus Verona and later played for Pordenone and Monza in the Lega Pro. Last season, Conti, who signed a one-year deal with Gzira, played for Pergolettese.
The Maroons had earlier signed Rafael Ledesma, goalkeepers Jamie Azzopardi and Jurgen Borg and defender Clifford Gatt Baldacchino.
