Malta Football Association releases 2016/17 fixtures

MFAThe Malta Football Association released all the fixtures for season 2016/17 covering the BOV Premier League, BOV First Division, BOV Second Division, BOV Third Division, the Youth League, the BOV Women’s First Division, the BOV Women’s Second Division and the Women’s Under-17 League.

The BOV Premier League will kick-off on Friday 19th August with four matches – two at the Hibernians Stadium between Birkirkara and St. Andrews, Hibernians and Hamrun Spartans and two at the Victor Tedesco Stadium between Gzira United and Tarxien Rainbows, Valletta and Sliema Wanderers. On Saturday 20, Floriana take on Pembroke Athleta and Balzan face Mosta at the Hibernians Stadium.

For Match Day 1 and Match Day 2, only the Hibernians Stadium and the Victor Tedesco Stadium will be used due to works on the pitch of the National Stadium.

Unlike previous years, the fixtures for the third round were released as well since the division of points at the end of the second round was removed. The last league matches will be played between Thursday 4th and Saturday 6th May.

BOV Premier League 2016/17 Fixtures

The BOV First Division will kick-off on Friday 9th September with the clash between newly-promoted Marsa and Mqabba with another two matches being played on Saturday 10th at the Victor Tedesco Stadium and four on Sunday 11th – two at the Cetnenary Stadium and two at the Victor Tedesco Stadium. The final league matches are scheduled for Sunday 30th April.

BOV First Division League 2016/17 fixtures

The first match from the BOV Second Division will be played on Friday 16th September between Zejtun Corinthians and Zabbar St. Patrick at the Luxol Stadium. The other six matches will be played on Saturday 17 at the Centenary Stadium, Charles Abela Stadium and Sirens Stadium. The final league matches are scheduled for Sunday 23rd April.

BOV Second Division League 2016/17 fixtures

The BOV Third Division will kick-off on the 18th September with six matches at the Charles Abela Stadium, Luxol Stadium and Sirens Stadium. The final league matches will be played on Saturday 22nd April.

BOV Third Division League 2016/17 fixtures

The Youth League will kick-off on Wednesday 17th August with the first matches from Sections A and B. All the five sections come to an end in the last week of April.

Youth League 2016/17 Fixtures

The BOV Women’s First Division kicks-off on Sunday 18th September with a clash between Gozo and champions HIbernians at the Kercem Ajax Stadium. Mgarr United host Birkirkara at the Mgarr Ground on Tuesday 20 while Kirkop United face Raiders (Luxol) at the Charles Abela Stadium on Wednesday 21. THe last matches are scheduled for the last week of April.

The BOV Women’s Second Division kicks-off on Monday 19th September while the Women’s Under-17 League will kick-off on Sunday 18th.
