Third defeat for Hibernians in Women’s Champions League

women-champions-leagueHibernians lost 0-4 to Ferencváros after having to play for over an hour in ten men at the Sportpark De Peuverweide in Geesteren, the Netherlands on Sunday.

Ebere Orji put the Hungarians ahead after just five minutes. Francesca Chircop was sent off on the 21st minute and Ferencváros doubled the score on the 31st through Sladjana Bulatović. Just before half-time, Jelena Čanković converted a penalty and Ebere Orji added another on the 63rd.

Twente won the group with maximum points from three matches, three points ahead of Ferencvaros, followed by Konak on three and Hibernians zero.
