The BOV First Division kicked-off on Friday as Mqabba defeated newly-promoted Marsa 3-0 at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.

Former Marsa striker Paul Chimezie put Mqabba ahead on the 16th minute and the same player doubled the score three minutes in the second half. Arilson Mello da Silva sealed the issue with a third goal on the 68th minute.
