BOV Division 3: Great comeback for Kalkara as they beat Dingli 4-2

BOV-Third-DivisionKalkara came back from two goals down to beat Dingli Swallows 4-2 at the Sirens Stadium on Sunday as the BOV Third Division kicked-off with six matches.

Joshua Sciarrino and a Luke Galea penalty gave Dingli a two-goal lead but Kalkara had other thoughts and goals by Matthew Schembri and Jacob Camilleri cancelled their lead. Timothy Thomas put Kalkara 2-1 ahead mid-way through the second half and in added time, the same player sealed the issue with a fourth goal.

A goal by Gilbert Camilleri on the half-hour gave Santa Lucia a narrow win over Kirkop United at the Charles Abela Stadium.

In another match at the Charles Abela Stadium, Xghajra Tornados defeated Marsaskala 3-0 thanks to a brace by Noel Tabone on the 18th and 40th and Kevin Galea on the 64th.

Danijel Vasic scored twice as Sta. Venera Lightnings defeated Mtarfa 2-0 at the Luxol Stadium. He opened the score one minute in the second half and converted a penalty deep into stoppage time to seal the issue.

Mdina Knights beat Zurrieq 3-0 in another match at the Luxol Stadium. Daniel Cluett put Mdina ahead on the 36th, George Falzon doubled the score on the 58th and Velibor Milicic made it 3-0 on the 71st minute.

Matthew Thorne scored the all-important goal for Msida St. Joseph as they defeated neighbours Ta’ Xbiex 1-0 at the Sirens Stadium.
