Two Premier League players suspended

Balzan defender Justin Grioli and Valletta midfielder Uchenna Calistus Umeh were banned for one match by the MFA Disiciplinary Commissioner following the BOV Premier League matches which were played on Sunday and Monday.

Grioli will miss the game against St. Andrews while Umeh is ruled out of the clash with Birkirkara.

Floriana coach Giovanni Tedesco and assistant coach Salvatore Caleca could not lead the team from the bench for the coming games after being suspended for four matches and two matches respectively. They were reported following harsh protests at the end of the game against Hamrun Spartans.

In Division 1, Keith Vella (Zebbug) was banned for two matches while Gianluca Sultana (Vittoriosa) was suspended for one match.

Christopher Grech (Gudja) was handed a one-year ban in Division 2 while Joseph Mercieca (Birzebbuga) and Michele Caruana (Gudja) were banned for one match.

Charles Sammut and Jamie Zammit of Mtarfa were banned for one match in Division 3 while Kirkop kit-manager Redeemer Caruana was suspended for two matches.
